The Cannonball Run is an unsanctioned speed record car race from New York City’s Red Ball Garage to The Portofino Hotel, LA.  A beer is brewed specifically to celebrate this race as a collaboration between The Portofino Hotel and Absolution Brewery, CA. The Cannonball Run IPA is sold on tap at both locations with cans for sale at the hotel.  The new can design is inspired by the movement of a car speeding by with the use of multiple colored lines as an abstract representation of energetic movement. In the name of the beer, lines are used to make the “RUN” also appear in motion.
